Beach on the brain

I can’t stop thinking about the beach! Everytime I’m out, I search for a beach accessory for my trip in a few weeks, whether it’s the perfect pair of flip flops, the perfect beach towel or the perfect beach bag. And I’ve found some great wallet-friendly picks that I love and I think you will, too!

Perfect flip flops or sandals:

Piperlime is having a sale right now (as of the date of this post!) on all sorts of summer shoes. I found a pair of simple yellow flip flops for $17.99. If you aren’t looking for anything too flashy, they’re comfy and perfect for the

beach. (The walk to the beach is about the only time I wear flops, so why splurge on footwear that just transports you to a place you want to be barefoot?) Please note: A few customers have said they run a little small, so order a half size larger.

If you like solid colors, try these super cute Athena sandals by Hot Cakes from The Shoe Dept. I suggest trying to find them in stores if you want a color other than black because they do come in white, silver and bronze. (I know because I have them in white, too!) They’re just under $13.

Perfect beach towel:

I LOVE oversized beach towels because I don’t like getting all sandy right after putting on suntan lotion. ShadeUSA has big beach towels, ultra plush oversized beach towels and even a double sided “towel for two” (!!) on their beach towels page, and they’re all for under $30. I’ll definitely be investing in a “towel for two” to give me LOTS of room to spread out with my beach gear (radio, books, cooler, perfect beach flops, perfect beach bag, perfect beach friends, etc.)!

Perfect beach bag:

I NEED to get my hands on one of these adorable satin scarf hobo bags from Old Navy. They come in six different patterns, which makes it so hard to choose! They could easily go from the beach to the boardwalk and back.

Sea Glass Organic makes life a little greener at the beach. They have organic cotton beach bags for under $25, and they’re even having a beach bag giveaway, so you could get one for free!

Perfect beach hat:

I found a floppy printed beach hat at Target.com that would definitely save your face from too much sun without being too outrageous and hard to pull off.

Sunfitters has a white straw floppy hat that would look absolutely adorable with a black swimsuit. So chic.

Perfect sarong/cover-up:

Sarong.com has so many patterns and options, you don’t even have to look anywhere else for the perfect sarong for you. They have short styles, long styles, sheer, non-sheer, patterned, solid, and they even have plus sizes!

Kohls has probably the cutest strapless beach cover-up I’ve ever seen. It comes in black, coral and teal, and it’s insanely affordable at just under $15. Get it while it’s on sale!!

No matter which accessories you choose, remember to use lots of sunscreen out there, have fun and look FABULOUS!!!
